So many victories, so many podiums – so many magic moments on the World Cup for ATOMIC: The team enters this winter’s decisive phase with self-confidence gained from 14 victories and a total of 44 podium finishes, ATOMIC remains the Leading Brand in skiing and has a commanding lead in the Brands’ World Cup. The Power of Performance and Passion …

CONGRATULATIONS! Kathrin Zettel and Marlies Schild, Aksel Lund Svindal, Benni Raich, Carlo Janka, Felix Neureuther, Marcel Hirscher and Michi Walchhofer. The World Cup winners of the season so far (there were 14 victories for the ATOMIC team, ATOMIC athletes have been on the podium 44 times) are carrying the hopes of the strongest ski team in the world at the Olympics as well. „It’s fun and it’s an honour to work with these people“, ATOMIC Race Director Rudi Huber says. „Our successes aren’t based on a few individual high performers. With us, the team is the star! We have an ideal balance between young guns and experienced athletes: The guys are pushing each other and despite being competitors on the slope, they work for a common goal.” With the Doubledeck-age, ATOMIC has also heralded a new era in race performance. Huber: „The skiers know they have the best products to work with. In all disciplines. With Felix Neureuther’s victory in the Kitzbuehel slalom we’re the only ski brand that has won in all five disciplines on the men’s side. We have worked hard for it for almost two years in slalom. I’m particularly proud of that.”

No fear of Nagano weather

Extreme weather conditions like in Nagano aren’t worrying ATOMIC Race Director: „ATOMIC has such a depth of experience, there’s nothing we haven’t successfully overcome. Low temperatures, high humidity, constantly changing snow and weather conditions – I have the utmost trust in our equipment and the competence of our service crew. When races are held, our top-athletes will be provided with top-equipment, one way or another. We don’t leave anything to coincidence, you can work for your own „luck“!”, Huber says.

Almost three tons of equipment have been shipped to Canada just a few days prior to the start of the Olympic Games. The ATOMIC test teams have been dialing in the equipment in Whistler Mountain since February 5th. The strength in depth of successful athletes makes ATOMIC confident to be able to carry the World Cup success into the Olympic Games in Vancouver. With Raich, Janka, Hirscher and Svindal, ATOMIC has four athletes in the top five of the overall World Cup, additionally Walchhofer, Svindal and Raich are the leading trio of the super-G World Cup, Raich and Janka are leading the combined World Cup. Huber’s perspective: „We have a lot of winners in our ranks – and now we’re looking forward to the Games ...”
